I have many plans for this weekend, what about you? Are you a planner? I live for lists! Its funny I used to write myself lists daily especially when we were making the baby clothes & I found I was so productive. I think it's partly because I get a real buzz out if ticking something off a list?! Sad I know.... Anyway recently I've been less productive than usual & I think this is why.( I can feel Neil's eyes rolling from here! 😂) Clothes I'm wearing are all old - Jumper Ancient & out of shape but super snuggly! REFUSE TO BIN Skirt - Silk.Mix I actually made this - its one of the first things I made when I bought my sewing machine - The only thing is the Elastic in the waistline is a little worn now so I need to change it. How do you feel about Re-Sale or Second Hand Buys? That was very nearly second hand Butt's! Thanks to autospell ..... Anyway For me its the perfect way to make your money go further, get that expensive blazer or bag that otherwise you'd never be able to afford. I think people are way more open to it now especially with sites like @ebloggers popping up too that sell just about everything. I'd live to know what you guys think, are you open to buying secondhand or is it a No from you?! If so please feel free to share why... I was lucky, this Mac was on a Re-Sale site & was exactly what I was looking for so I was pretty happy with myself! It's from @reiss and I use it more as a "dress" coat. It's perfect for layering as it's not too thick or heavy. It drapes perfectly regardless of how many layers you chuck on underneath. Just a few of my favourite things! Do you think about your makeup collection or your Accessories in the same way as you do you clothes? By that I mean, Do you buy makeup on a Need basis or is it more of an impulse thing? I was definitely impulse for a long time, for both makeup & Accessories until we were clearing out for a move. Then I discovered how many orange toned lipsticks I owned as well as foundations that were 4 shades too orange for me! Not to mention the collection of purple toned eyeshadows... Now I have a few select brands that I buy on a regular basis, one of them being @ctilburymakeup I find the products are always beautifully packaged, value for money & wear beautifully on my skin. This post is dedicated to this incredible "Bottletop Bag" *AD* I know what your thinking, it can't actually be made out of bottletops?! Can it...? Well it is. The bag I am currently wearing is the Luciana Enamel . It took 494 ring pulls to create this bag, Over a period of around 7 - 8 hours. Each bag is crafted using upcycled metal ring pulls and Amazon zero-deforestation leather ensuring no damage to the rainforest, unlike many other fashion houses who source leather. All bags are 100% sustainable including the dustbag & packaging etc. Most of the artisans are women, they are trained on the job to file, paint and crochet the ring pulls to create the unique braiding/chain mail technique, this is known as ‘Mistura’, This is the process that creates the finished bag. Every bag is handmade in Brazil, Artisans are paid 45% higher than the industry average.  The aim of Botttletop.org is to empower their wider communities. One item that definitely needs to be included in your capsule Wardrobe is a good pair of faux / vegan Leather Trousers. I bought this pair from @mintvelvet last year & I have to be honest they have been an incredible investment. They are buttery soft & incrediblely well made. I could wear them on a really long trip and not feel uncomfortable at all. Buy the right pair and they will be one if the most used items in your wardrobe, so versatile as you can wear them with a wee vest like here, a fitted bodysuit for something a bit more glam, a silk or linen white shirt always looks amazing! Winter coming means you can throw on a nice snuggly poloneck or knitted jumper & mac. Make sure you invest in a decent pair as fit is everything; a cheap Badly made pair can make your Bodyshape look like your worst enemy! Don't ever pay attention to size - ie. 4, 6, 8, 10 because every brand Has a different standard for measurement, some shops I'm a 6 others a 10! If it fits great, doesn't cut into the waistline especially when you sit ( find somewhere to sit when trying on) & there's no pulling tight at the thighs then get them in that basket! My "Go To" Face... For me now that I'm into my early 40's makeup has become about making me feel great in my own skin. I want to enhance what I own not try to disguise it. But I'm not going to lie I didn't always feel this way.. I think the most important thing is finding brands & products that work perfectly with your skin, It took me a while to figure that out as I'm so fair. I was definitely guilty of the orange tide mark around my neck line for a good while...! Oh and the Concealer under my eyes was way too light. One Word "Layering" This has to be my favourite part about Autumnal / Winter dressing. Its another reason why I try to ensure that each piece I buy works with most other items I already own. You turn one Extra Oversized shirt into several outfits. Just think of the packing space? I love this shirt & have had so much use out of it ( infact I think I stole it from Neil) I love wearing it just like this here with a pair of fitted trousers & jumper. Couldn't be happier to have found these beauties at the back of my wardrobe. That's the best bit about getting your winter wardrobe out, sometimes you strike gold! Tbh.
